Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy explains what information unordinaryones.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is operated by World Capital Venture LLC (“we,” “us,” “Unordinary Ones”).

Unordinary Ones is a free newsletter and a collection of free resources. There is nothing to buy, no account to create, and no login. The only personal information we ask for is an email address.

What we collect

Your email address. You give this to us when you subscribe to the newsletter or request one of the free guides. That is the only piece of personal information we ask you to provide.

Basic usage data. Like most websites, ours automatically records limited technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you viewed, and the site you came from. This is collected by Framer and Google Analytics and is used in aggregate to understand which content is working.

Email engagement data. Kit records whether emails we send are opened and which links are clicked. We use this to gauge which topics are worth writing more about.

We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, health information, precise location data, or any special category data, because we have no reason to.

Why we use it

Your email address is used to send you the newsletter and any free resource you requested. That is it. Usage and engagement data is used to improve the site and the content.

If you are in the UK or EU, our legal basis for sending you the newsletter is your consent, which you gave when you subscribed. Our legal basis for basic analytics is legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your email address to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers, sponsors, data brokers, or third-party marketers.

Who processes it for us

We use third-party services to run the site and send email. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

  • Framer hosts the website

  • Kit stores subscriber emails and delivers the newsletter

  • Google Analytics provides aggregate traffic analytics

We may also disclose information if required by law, a court order, or valid legal process.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies, limited to what is needed for the site to function and for basic analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will still work.

Unsubscribing and deleting your data

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you from the list immediately and no further email is sent.

If you want your email address deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, email scott@scottcaputo.com and we will remove it. We will confirm when it is done.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy of it, or object to how we use it. If you are in California, you also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights, though since the site offers only free content there is nothing to discriminate over.

To exercise any of these rights, email scott@scottcaputo.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not ask you to create an account to make a request.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed, and for a short period afterward to make sure you are not accidentally re-added. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.

Children

The site is intended for adults working in business and technology. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, email scott@scottcaputo.com and we will delete the record.

International subscribers

The site is operated from the United States and any information you provide is processed there. If you are subscribing from outside the US, you are consenting to that transfer.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects you, we will note it in the newsletter. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
